The event was notably attended by MTRCB Chair Lala Sotto, underscoring the national regulatory body’s support for local media literacy efforts. Recognizing that children are highly susceptible to quickly absorbing and spreading information across various platforms, the campaign emphasized the urgent need for media literacy education.
The initiative highlighted the collaboration with the MTRCB to ensure content promotes positive values. Vice Mayor Kua urged students and residents to become discerning media consumers and spread the principles of responsible viewing, stressing that collective efforts are vital for creating a well-informed and progressive citizenry in Dagupan.
